La Broquerie’s prosperity has always been tied to the land. For most of our community’s history, La Broquerie was ranked as Manitoba’s largest dairy producer. Today, this traditional reliance on the dairy industry has given way to a much broader agriculture based economy, one that now also benefits from livestock production (including hogs, cattle and bison) and mixed farming. Also, a large proportion of our residents find employment with the many thriving commercial businesses in our community, which have grown and prospered as our community has grown.
